Corporate Tax Manager
£54,000 to £62,000 per annum (DOE) | Permanent, full time

A leading firm of Chartered Accountants in Birmingham is looking for a technically strong Corporate Tax Manager to take ownership of a varied portfolio, delivering compliance and advisory work across a broad and diverse client base.
The firm's tax team is growing and well regarded locally, with a clear route to Senior Manager, a collaborative culture, and the kind of client mix that keeps the technical work interesting. What's the day to day of the role:
Managing a portfolio of corporate clients across compliance and advisory services
Advising on corporation tax, group structures, reorganisations and tax planning
Reviewing corporate tax returns and computations prepared by junior staff
Mentoring junior members of the tax team and supporting their development
Contributing to business development activity and proposals
Required skills and qualifications:
CTA and/or ACA/ACCA qualified with a strong corporate tax background gained in practice
At least five years' experience within a UK Practice environment
Proven experience managing a corporate portfolio across compliance and advisory work
Strong technical knowledge of UK corporation tax legislation and current developments
Excellent client facing skills, with the ability to explain complex matters clearly
