Are you confident, reliable, and passionate about supporting young people in education? We are looking for a Cover Supervisor to join a welcoming mainstream secondary school in the M16 area.
About the Role
As a cover supervisor, you’ll be responsible for supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring pupils remain on task and engaged with set work. This is a great opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced support staff who enjoy working with young people and would like to gain valuable classroom experience.
Main Responsibilities
-Supervise lessons during short-term teacher absences.
-Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment.
-Deliver pre-set lesson material and support pupils as needed.
-Follow school policies and procedures, including safeguarding.
-Provide feedback to teaching staff after lessons.
What We’re Looking For
-Confident classroom presence and strong communication skills.
-Ability to engage and motivate students.
-Previous experience working with young people (in schools, youth work, or tutoring) is desirable.
-Proactive, organised and dependable approach.
-Degree or Level 3 qualification preferred, but not essential.
