Description
Axcis Education is pleased to be working with a specialist SEND school in Skelmersdale to recruit a dedicated Cover Supervisor for a full-time position, starting Tuesday 6th May (with flexibility for the right candidate). This role will run until the end of the academic year, with the potential for extension or a permanent position for the right applicant.
This hybrid position involves a blend of Teaching Assistant responsibilities and covering lessons as needed. The working hours are 8:30am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday.
About the School:
The setting supports secondary-aged pupils with a range of additional needs, including:
• Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
• Learning Disabilities
• ADHD
• Some challenging behaviours
This is a nurturing and structured environment with a supportive team and strong leadership.
Who We’re Looking For:
This role would be ideal for:
• An experienced Teaching Assistant or HLTA confident in leading classes
• A qualified teacher seeking a role with reduced planning and assessment responsibilities
You must have:
• Previous experience supporting students with the SEND needs listed above
• School-based experience (preferred)
• A DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for a new one – we can assist with this)
