The Role:
As a Criminology Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in helping to deliver educational excellence. Working closely with our lead teachers, your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the delivery of a bespoke, inclusive curriculum designed for students with various educational needs.
- Assisting in creating and maintaining a safe, inviting, and stimulating learning environment.
- Providing one-to-one and small group support to students, reinforcing positive behaviour and promoting social skills.
- Collaborating with the teaching staff to evaluate and track student progress, adapting support strategies as needed.
- Helping to develop learning materials that engage and inspire our students.
- Actively participating in school activities, outings, and special events.
Who Are We Looking For?
We seek passionate individuals who have:
- A degree in Criminology, Psychology, or related fields. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- Experience in youth work, behavioural support, or educational settings is highly desirable.
- An empathetic and patient approach to working with children and young adults with various learning needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with both staff and students.
- The ability to work flexibly and adaptively in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive, creative, and enthusiastic attitude towards education and supporting students' wellbeing.
