**Job Title**: Cover Supervisor
**Location**: Tadcaster, North Yorkshire
**Part-Time**: At least 2 days per week (8:30 AM - 3:30 PM)

**Job Description:**
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Cover Supervisor to join our exceptional school in Tadcaster, North Yorkshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring that students continue their education seamlessly.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Supervise pupils undertaking work that has been pre-prepared by a teacher.
- Manage classroom behavior to ensure a constructive learning environment.
- Respond to any questions from pupils about process and procedures.
- Deal with any immediate problems or emergencies according to the school's policies and procedures.
- Collect completed work after the lesson and pass to the appropriate teacher.
- Report back as appropriate using the school's agreed referral procedures on the behavior of pupils during the class and any issues arising.
**Requirements:**
- Proven experience of working as a cover supervisor in the UK.
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to maintain discipline.
- Enhanced DBS check on the update service.
- Availability to work at least 2 days a week from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
- Experience with generally well-behaved students.
- Exceptional spoken and written English.
- Subject specialism would be advantageous, although not essential.
**Personal Qualities:**
The ideal candidate should be proactive, patient, and respectful towards all students and staff. You should have a passion for education and the ability to inspire and motivate students, even outside of their regular teacher's presence.
