Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (term-time only)
Pay: Competitive daily rate (dependent on experience)
Axcis Education are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming primary school in the Bedminster area of Bristol for an Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their team.
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting young children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and enjoys working in a nurturing, play-based learning environment.
About the Role:
• Supporting children in Nursery or Reception within a mainstream primary setting
• Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils who may need extra help settling into school
• Supporting children with early SEND needs, including speech and language difficulties, Autism, and developmental delays
• Encouraging social, emotional, and communication development through structured play and routine
• Working closely with the class teacher and EYFS team to support learning and behaviour
The Ideal Candidate:
• Has experience working in Early Years, Nursery, or Reception settings
• Understands the EYFS framework and child-led learning
• Is caring, patient, and enthusiastic
• Confident supporting children with additional needs
• Holds a relevant Early Years or Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential)
