Description
Axcis is working with a wonderful special school in the Solihull which has a very strong community spirit and ethic.
This all-age school specialises supporting children and young people with complex Autism, the school caters to children aged 4 to 19 years and ensure to tailor its provision to each individual’s needs. The school requires a teaching assistant to work on a 1:1 or small group basis with children with the Early Years and Primary departments. The perfect teaching assistant will need to have a very high level of resilience and dedication as consistency is key for all children with SEND needs however this is 10x as important for individuals of such a young age and developmental stages.
This is a full-time role on a small group and 1:1 basis with an immediate start on an ongoing basis to the end of the academic year, with a high likelihood of returning to the school after the summer holidays. Being able to work independently and as part of a team is key, to be able to take direction from the teacher and implement planning accurately and effectively with the child or group of children you are working with. This will be a hugely rewarding role, seeing the children engage and participate will be phenomenal but and whilst you cannot see the difference you are making; the impact you make will be life-long as you lay the foundations for their futures.
