Role: External Sales Executive
Location: Covering; HP, OX, LU, WD, AL postcodes
Salary: £35,000 - £50,000 (DOE) + Car & Bonus
Overview:
The purpose of the External Sales Representative role is to manage and develop relationships with existing and new customers within a designated geographical sales region. The role requires significant time spent on the road meeting customers face-to-face, ensuring strong engagement and business growth. The position also involves collaboration with the internal sales team to maximise sales opportunities and support mutual customer efforts.

Responsibilities:
• Customer Engagement: Conduct regular face-to-face meetings with customers, spending a significant amount of time on the road to maintain strong business relationships.
• Account Management: Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers, ensuring high levels of service and satisfaction.
• New Business Development: Identify and secure new business opportunities within the designated sales region, expanding the customer base.
• Sales Strategy Execution: Implement and drive company sales strategies within the assigned geographical area.
• Solution Selling: Understand customer needs and provide tailored automation solutions using products from our portfolio.
• Product Knowledge: Develop a strong understanding of our manufacturers and product offerings to effectively cross-sell and upsell.
• Sales Performance: Meet or exceed monthly sales targets and contribute to achieving branch performance bonuses.
• Collaboration with Internal Sales Team: Work closely with the internal sales team at a branch level, ensuring effective communication, mutual support, and a coordinated approach to customer opportunities.
• Market Awareness: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activity, and customer requirements to proactively address market demands.
• Reporting & Analysis: Track and report sales activities, pipeline development, and performance metrics to management.
Skills / experience:
• Strong sales and negotiation skills
• Excellent relationship-building and customer service abilities
• Ability to understand and communicate technical product information
• Self-motivated with a proactive approach to sales
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• Ability to analyse sales data and market trends
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
Additional Information:
• This role requires regular travel within the assigned sales region (CV, LE, DE, NG)
• Some overnight stays may be necessary depending on business needs
