Care Workers Looking to Transition to a School Setting
We are currently seeking individuals from the care sector to transition over to an educational setting.
You will be working as a Teaching Assistant in a Primary and Secondary school setting in the WA12 area. In this role, you will have the rewarding opportunity to work closely with students who have ASD, PMLD and Complex Needs.. Your primary responsibility will be to provide personalised support and guidance to these students, assisting them in their educational journey and helping them develop essential life skills.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with student to provide one-on-one support tailored to their specific needs and abilities.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting personal growth and independence.
Assist students in acquiring and developing essential life skills, such as communication, problem-solving, and self-care.
Collaborate with the staff to create individualised learning plans and monitor student progress.
Uphold a safe and secure environment, ensuring the welfare and well-being of the students at all times.
Requirements:
Holding a Child and Adult DBS on the Update Service
Experience in care settings is highly desirable as you will be required to provide personal care.
An understanding of Autism and other learning difficulties is beneficial.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and create a supportive learning atmosphere.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for making a positive impact on the lives of young individuals.-Flexibility and adaptability to meet the varying needs and challenges of the students.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable individuals.
Contract Details:
Full-time and Part-time positions available
Temporary to permanent contract for the right candidate.
Immediate and September starts available.
