Freelance Site Manager
Residential Groundworks & Infrastructure
Location: Huddersfield
Duration: 18 Months (Start November)
Rate: £300 per shift Competitive (CIS / Ltd available)

I am currently recruiting for an experienced Freelance Site Manager to oversee a large-scale residential groundworks and infrastructure project in Huddersfield. This is a long-term freelance opportunity, offering continuity of work through to project completion.

SCOPE OF WORKS:
• Roads & sewers
• Drainage and attenuation tanks
• Plotworks
• Retaining walls & masonry packages

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Day-to-day management of site activities
• Ensuring works are delivered safely, on time and to spec
• Overseeing and direct labour
• Managing health & safety, RAMS and site inductions
• Liaising with engineers, commercial teams, and client representatives
• Ensuring quality control and maintaining accurate site records
• Driving productivity and problem-solving on site

REQUIREMENTS:
• Previous experience as a Site Manager on residential infrastructure projects
• Strong leadership and organisational skills
• Good technical knowledge of roads, sewers, drainage, and plotworks
• Valid SMSTS, CSCS & First Aid certificates
• Temp Works / Street Works are preferred
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills

• 18-month freelance role
• Competitive day rate (CIS / Ltd payments available)
• Start date: November
