Schedule: Monday – Friday, Full-Time (8:15am – 4:00pm)
Pay: £95 per day
Are you an experienced teaching assistant looking to make a real difference in the lives of secondary school students?
A welcoming and inclusive secondary school in the Stretford (M32) area is seeking a general teaching assistant to provide full-time classroom support across various subjects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with UK secondary school TA experience who is passionate about supporting students’ academic and personal development.
Role Responsibilities:
• Provide general classroom support to teachers across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Work closely with pupils to ensure engagement and understanding during lessons
• Support students with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD and SEMH
• Liaise with the school SENCo to follow tailored strategies and plans
• Attend school events, parents’ evenings, and open evenings to help track and support pupil progress
• Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
• Previous experience working as a TA in a UK secondary school setting
• Confident supporting students with ASD, ADHD, and SEMH needs
• A proactive, flexible and reliable attitude
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A valid, enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
