Established freight forwarder based in Bedfont are looking for an Global Pricing Specialist to join their team
Key Responsibilities
• Manage and oversee all incoming pricing requests to convert business through accurate, effective, and timely submission.
• Maintain mailboxes under your control
• Ensure that any quotes accepted comply strictly with company's terms and conditions and accounting practices
• Manage and follow up all quotes to obtain feedback to measure, analyse and circulate to the commercial Manager, Suggesting &
adjusting pricing where possible to ensure security of business.
• Weekly Monitoring won / loss quotes and follow ups
• Follow up on Sales leads, updating CRM and logging sales actions as follow up, adding as new prospect where required.
• Price comparison analysis on key trade lanes, escalating partner performance to the Commercial Manager
• Negotiate rates with carriers / hauliers / suppliers. Confirm availability of equipment and agree prices where no tariff exists, to
maximise cost- effectiveness
• To produce strategic tariffs when required to ensure effective workload and to ensure these tariffs are kept up to date and relevant.
• Seek new carriers / routings that bring value to both company and our customers.
• Identifying and setting goals for improved performance and deadlines in ways that comply with the company's plans and vision.

Ideal candidate would have the following key skill attributes
• Industry and operational Multi modal knowledge of Airfreight, Sea freight, Road freight- inbound & outbound including cross trade
• Strong team player, with ability to work independently when required
• Able to cope and accustomed to working under pressure to meet fixed deadlines
• Good analytical skills
• Dangerous Goods knowledge
• Good communication, including ongoing negotiation skills
• Enthusiastic, flexible, and self-motivated
Hours Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:30hrs
Salary £30,000 -£40,000 (depending on experience)
