About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated graduate to join our team in Trafford and gain valuable experience in a further-education (FE) college environment. This role is ideal for someone considering a future career in teaching or educational support and who is keen to develop practical classroom and resource-building skills.
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will support teaching staff across a range of subjects to ensure students receive the highest quality learning experience. You will play an active role in the day-to-day running of classes, contribute to student engagement, and assist with essential administrative and learning-support tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Support lecturers in the delivery of lessons across designated subject areas.
- Assist with creating, updating, and organising classroom resources and teaching materials.
- Encourage good student attendance and punctuality, following up attendance concerns where directed.
- Provide general classroom support, working with individuals or small groups of students where required.
- Help maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
- Support staff with administrative tasks such as preparing handouts, updating records, and setting up learning spaces.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to build skills relevant to teaching and learning.
- Contribute to wider college activities as required.
About You
- A recent graduate (any subject considered).
-Passionate about education and supporting young people.
- Organised, proactive, and able to manage your time effectively.
- Confident communicator with a positive, professional attitude.
- Interested in progressing into teaching, education, or youth support (desirable but not essential).
- Some experience working with young people is beneficial but not required.
