Description

Our client is an independent, leading provider of private wealth, corporate administration and yacht services to international companies, individuals and families.

Role
This is a full-time, office-based position within the Group Services team. The successful candidate will provide tax compliance and reporting services for a portfolio of fiduciary clients, including trusts and companies.

The role combines technical tax work with responsibility for reviewing and supporting junior team members.

Key responsibilities
• Manage a portfolio of trust and company clients, ensuring all tax obligations are completed accurately and within statutory deadlines.
• Prepare and review Income Tax, Corporation Tax, Capital Gains Tax, ATED and Inheritance Tax returns.
• Complete RISPG calculations, VAT reporting and internal group tax reporting.
• Review work completed by trainee and junior colleagues, providing technical guidance and constructive feedback.
• Help oversee workflow, work allocation and priorities within the tax team.
• Review trust and company accounts from a tax perspective and identify potential risks.
• Monitor compliance deadlines and filing obligations.
• Respond to tax queries from departments across the group.
• Liaise with clients, beneficiaries, settlors and professional advisers.
• Assist with complex tax matters under the guidance of senior colleagues.
• Support fee quotations, budgeting and billing.
• Contribute to procedural improvements, departmental controls and internal tax training.

Person specification
• Educated to at least A-Level standard or equivalent.
• A minimum of three years’ relevant tax experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of UK taxation.
• Knowledge of taxation in other jurisdictions would be desirable.
• ATT, STEP, ACCA or an equivalent qualification is preferred.
• CTA studies, or a willingness to pursue further professional qualifications, would be advantageous.
• Experience working with fiduciary structures, trusts and companies is preferred.
• Ability to review work and identify technical issues.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Confidence supervising, coaching and developing junior colleagues.
