Description

A leading independent provider of bespoke private wealth, corporate administration, and yacht services is seeking an accomplished senior leader to take on the role of Group Head of Client Accounting and Tax.

About the Role
This Director-level position will provide strategic, operational, and technical leadership for client accounting and tax compliance across the Group’s international network. You will define and implement the long-term vision and operating model for these services, ensuring they are aligned with commercial objectives, regulatory requirements, and best practice standards.
You will lead geographically dispersed teams, oversee transformation initiatives, drive operational excellence, and act as a trusted advisor to the Group Executive on technical and commercial matters.

Key Responsibilities
• Shape and deliver the Group’s client accounting and tax compliance strategy.
• Oversee financial reporting, tax computations, annual filings, and regulatory submissions across multiple jurisdictions.
• Champion technology and automation to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and client experience.
• Provide authoritative guidance on complex tax issues, including cross-border structures and international compliance requirements.
• Lead high-performing teams, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and professional development.
• Engage with senior stakeholders, regulators, auditors, and external advisors to uphold compliance and service quality.

Requirements
• Degree-level education or equivalent experience.
• Qualified accountant (e.g. ACCA, ICAEW) and Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) or equivalent – essential.
• Minimum 10 years’ post-qualification experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role in a multi-jurisdictional fiduciary, corporate services, or financial services environment.
• Deep knowledge of IFRS, UK FRS, GAAP, and international tax legislation.
• Proven ability to lead large, distributed teams and influence at Board level.
• Strong commercial acumen and client-focused approach.
