Location: Oldham, Lancashire

Working Hours: 8:30 am - 3:30 pm

**About the Role:**
We have a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our dynamic team in Oldham, Lancashire. The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach to supporting teachers and students across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 to enhance the learning environment and academic progress. The position is long-term with a focus on covering PPA, running interventions, and providing classroom support.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Work across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 providing support to all classes as directed by the senior staff.
- Deliver planned learning activities to individuals, small groups, and whole classes when covering for PPA (Planning, Preparation and Assessment time) ensuring continuity of education.
- Run targeted intervention programs to support pupils who require additional assistance.
- Assess, record, and report on development, progress, and attainment as and when required.
- Provide feedback to pupils in relation to progress and achievement under the guidance of the teacher.
- Create a stimulating and safe learning environment, applying behavioral management strategies effectively.
- Contribute to the planning and preparation of lessons and resources.
- Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Liaise with teachers, parents, and external professionals, maintaining positive relationships.
**Qualifications & Experience:**
- HLTA qualification or higher, with a sound understanding of educational principles.
- Proven UK-based experience in a similar role within a primary school setting.
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills equivalent to at least GCSE Grade C in English and Mathematics.
- Familiarity with the national curriculum and experience of adapting teaching strategies to cater for a wide range of abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work as part of a team and to use initiative when working independently.
