A leading telecoms company is seeking a motivated IT Engineer to join its IT Services team in Guernsey or Jersey. This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in maintaining and developing IT systems and infrastructure, ensuring effective support across the business.
About the Role
The IT Engineer will be responsible for the installation, development, and ongoing support of hardware and software services across the organisation. This includes patch management, IT Helpdesk support, endpoint deployment, and collaboration with internal stakeholders and external vendors. The position provides exposure to enterprise technologies and a chance to contribute to continual improvements within the IT environment
Key Responsibilities
• Install, develop, and support hardware and software services.
• Assist with Operating System patch management using SCCM and Microsoft Intune.
• Deploy, configure, and manage virtual machines within VMware.
• Provide 1st and 2nd line IT Helpdesk support to staff, contractors, and third parties.
• Support Microsoft/Office 365 services, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Entra ID platforms.
• Deploy and configure user endpoints through Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot.
• Work with external vendors to support project delivery.
• Ensure compliance with Data Protection, Health & Safety, and security policies

Skills & Experience Required
• 2+ years’ experience in an IT-related role (professional IT qualifications highly desirable).
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory & Entra ID, Office 365, Exchange Online, and SharePoint Online.
• Experience deploying and configuring user endpoints through Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot.
• Knowledge of VMware, Azure, and IT infrastructure management.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage staff and external parties at all levels.
• A professional and adaptable approach with enthusiasm for technology and future change
