Join a leading organisation in a dynamic, client-facing IT role providing high-quality technical support to end users across the business. Based in Guernsey, this position offers exposure to both BAU support and key IT change projects, with opportunities for professional development in a collaborative and evolving environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide on-site and remote support for hardware, software, and systems to ensure business continuity.
• Manage and prioritise support tickets, logging all activity through the Service Desk platform.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, escalating where necessary and ensuring timely resolution.
• Install, maintain, and support IT equipment, including printers and network applications.
• Administer user access requests and manage starter/leaver processes via Active Directory.
• Support IT documentation and asset management in line with internal policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with IT colleagues locally and across jurisdictions on complex support cases.
• Mentor junior team members and support wider IT Help Desk operations when required.
• Participate in IT projects, supporting system development, testing and procedural updates.
• Ensure compliance with IT protocols and standards including ISO27001, GDPR and Change Management.
• Liaise with the Facilities team for workstation setup and maintenance requests.
The Ideal Candidate:
• Minimum of two years’ experience in a similar service desk or IT support role.
• Keen interest in IT systems and applications, with a positive customer service mindset.
• Strong problem-solving ability and capable of working independently.
• GCSE English and Mathematics (or equivalent) essential.
• Level 3 IT & Computing (or equivalent) and ideally working towards ITIL certification.
• Technical knowledge of Microsoft OS, Office Suite, Active Directory, Citrix, O365, Azure, and endpoint security systems.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
