Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative and forward-thinking IT team as a Service Desk Trainee. Offering a strong foundation in IT support and exposure to a wide range of technical environments, this role is ideal for individuals with a genuine passion for technology and a desire to build a long-term career within the industry. The position is client-facing, requiring strong communication skills and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.

Key Responsibilities
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
• Assisting end-users with hardware, software, and system-related queries in a professional and friendly manner.
• Logging and tracking IT support requests while learning how to resolve routine issues.
• Supporting the team with daily IT operations, including user account administration and hardware setup.
• Participating in scheduled system checks, software updates, and documentation maintenance.
• Working collaboratively with the Facilities team on workstation setups and office technology support.
• Gaining exposure to IT project work and system testing under supervision.
• Building familiarity with internal processes, IT protocols, and relevant security standards.
• Attending internal training to develop knowledge in areas such as troubleshooting, ITIL concepts, and service desk tools.

The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will demonstrate a keen interest in IT systems and applications and bring a strong customer service mindset. You will have excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to follow established processes, and a positive, can-do attitude. While prior IT experience is advantageous, this role is designed for individuals at the beginning of their career, and full training will be provided.
