Are you a passionate and proactive Learning Mentor looking for your next opportunity to make a difference in young people’s lives?
Axcis Education is now welcoming registrations over the summer holidays for Learning Mentor roles coming through for September in the Tameside area.
Whether you’re an experienced mentor, a recent graduate, or someone with a strong background in youth work, pastoral care, or SEND, we’d love to hear from you!
About the Role
As a Learning Mentor, you will play a key part in supporting students who may be facing barriers to learning—this could include those with SEMH needs, challenging behaviour, Autism, or those at risk of exclusion.
You will:
- Provide 1:1 mentoring and small group support tailored to individual students’ needs.
- Work closely with teachers, pastoral teams, and SENCOs to track progress and implement support strategies.
- Help boost student confidence, engagement, and academic performance.
- Deliver targeted interventions to support behaviour, attendance, emotional regulation, and social skills.
- Be a positive role model, helping students navigate both academic and personal challenges.
Why Register with Axcis This Summer?
We are the UK’s leading SEND recruitment agency, and September is one of the busiest times of the year for new school vacancies.
- Early registration gives you access to exclusive roles before they’re publicly advertised.
- We work with mainstream and specialist schools across Tameside and Greater Manchester.
- Receive ongoing support and CPD opportunities throughout your placement.
- Choose between full-time, part-time, long-term, or short-term work depending on your availability.
- Competitive daily rates and weekly pay.
- A dedicated consultant who knows your area and understands your preferences and experience.
By registering with Axcis this summer, you’ll be ahead of the curve and ready to hit the ground running as soon as schools reopen.
Apply now to register your interest, and one of our friendly consultants will be in touch to discuss your experience and the exciting opportunities we expect in the Tameside area from September onwards
