Axcis Education is are seeking a learning support assistant for a SEND alternative provision school setting in the Solihull area.
You will be working with some fantastic primary aged students who have had difficulty engaging in their education due to a variety of factors. The school setting creates an inclusive, understanding & welcoming environment to allow them to build trust, develop individually & cohesively with other students to grow in their learning & personal development.
The school is set up to allow flexibility but also provide routine and structure, creating a safe and secure environment which encourages the pupils to thrive. In the school, there is a real family feel created by the school promoting students eating lunch with staff, building respect among students to teaching staff.
The position is within the SEND team, working closely with the setting’s experienced and enthusiastic SENCo to engage with the students to help them engage and remove barriers to learning.
You will be working Monday to Friday for the hours of 08:30 till 3:30, during term-time only.
Whilst in-school experience would be valuable, we are very much interested in receiving applications from individuals with support work, residential and emergency services backgrounds.
Whilst the role is initially a long-term role through the agency, there is the opportunity for the roles to turn permanent.
