Learning Support Assistant
Location: HD1
Pay: From £100 per day, depending on experience.
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-time, Term-time only

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with additional needs? Axcis Education is currently recruiting for a learning support assistant to join a vibrant and inclusive SEND college with state-of-the-art facilities, including sensory rooms and specialist learning environments.
You will be supporting students aged 16–25 with a range of special educational needs and disabilities. This includes working 1:1 and in small groups to help learners achieve their educational and personal goals.
Some students may require mobility assistance, so experience supporting physically disabled individuals is highly desirable. You will also be expected to assist with personal care as part of your role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide tailored support to learners with additional needs
• Assist students with mobility and physical challenges
• Support with personal care tasks when required
• Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment
• Liaise with tutors and therapists to ensure holistic support
Requirements:
• Experience working with SEND learners (desirable)
• Confidence providing physical support and personal care
• A patient, empathetic and proactive approach
• DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
