This is a term-time only position, ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting young people with additional learning needs.
About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide tailored support to pupils across a range of ages and abilities. The school caters for students with a variety of needs, including autism, learning difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health challenges. Classes are small, usually between 8–12 pupils, ensuring that every child receives focused support. Your role will involve one-to-one assistance, small group work, and helping to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all pupils can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide support to pupils both in and out of the classroom.
• Assist teachers in preparing and delivering lessons.
• Support students with personal care when required.
• Help students develop confidence, independence, and social skills.
• Use positive behaviour strategies to encourage engagement and progress.
• Work collaboratively with the wider school team and families.
What We’re Looking For
• Experience working with children or young people is desirable, but not essential.
• A patient, caring, and resilient approach to supporting pupils with additional needs.
• Comfortable assisting with personal care as part of the role.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to learn new skills, including specialist training provided by the school.

• Pay rate: £89.00 – £110.00 per day (depending on experience).
