Learning support assistant – college setting
Location: OL8
Employer: Axcis Education
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm
Contract: Agency, term time only
Pay: From £13.50 per hour (dependent on experience)
Axcis Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate learning support assistant to work within a well-resourced college environment supporting students aged 16+. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to young people and support them in reaching their full potential.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:
• Work with small groups of college-aged students, providing targeted support
• Assist learners with literacy and numeracy skills
• Support students to remain focused and on task during lessons
• Work closely with teaching staff to meet individual learning needs
• Support students who may display Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
Requirements:
• Previous experience working with young people aged 16+
• Experience supporting students with SEND
• A patient, calm, and encouraging approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A genuine passion for supporting young people in education
