Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
Axcis Education is currently recruiting a dedicated and enthusiastic learning support assistant to work within a welcoming primary school in the OL16 area. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children aged 4–11, including pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping them to thrive both academically and socially.
As a learning support assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other school staff to provide tailored support to pupils, ensuring they feel confident, included, and supported throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide classroom support for pupils aged 4–11
• Support children with SEND in both one-to-one and small group settings
• Assist with classroom activities and help maintain a positive learning environment
• Encourage pupils’ confidence, independence, and engagement in learning
• Work collaboratively with teachers and school staff to meet pupils’ needs
The Ideal Candidate Will:
• Have previous experience working with children aged 4–11
• Have experience supporting pupils with SEND
• Be patient, positive, and proactive with a willingness to learn
• Demonstrate a caring, supportive, and nurturing approach
• Be reliable and committed to working Monday to Friday

Essential Requirements:
• Enhanced Child and Adult DBS registered on the Update Service
• Ability to work effectively as part of a school team
