Level 3 Teaching Assistant

Axcis Education is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Level 3 teaching assistant to work in schools across Rochdale, supporting children with a wide range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
You will be working closely with pupils who have a variety of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, learning disabilities, social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, and physical or medical needs.
Your role will involve providing 1:1 and small-group support, adapting learning materials, implementing EHCP targets, and supporting pupils with emotional regulation and behaviour management strategies. You will work collaboratively with class teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
The role will also involve personal care, so patience, empathy, dignity, and professionalism are essential at all times.
Key Requirements:
• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent experience)
• Previous classroom experience supporting children with SEND
• Experience working with pupils who may display challenging behaviour
• Personal care experience
• An enhanced Child and Adult DBS registered on the Update Service
• A calm, patient, and proactive approach
• Ability to follow individual support plans and school safeguarding policies
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Pay & Benefits:
• Pay: From £13.50 per hour (dependent on experience)
• Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm
• Contract: Agency, term-time only
