A Local Authority in the East Midlands is seeking an experienced Licensing Enforcement Officer to join their team on an initial 3-month contract, with strong potential to extend to 6 months. This role offers an immediate start and a competitive rate of up to £45 per hour (Umbrella). You will support a busy licensing function covering Taxi and Private Hire, Gambling, and Street Trading, working within a fast-paced environment where accuracy and efficiency are essential.

The successful candidate will have proven experience within a Local Authority licensing team, with a strong focus on taxi and private hire application processing. You will be confident managing a high volume of applications, handling compliance and enforcement matters, and supporting wider licensing responsibilities including gambling and street trading. A working knowledge of the Uniform database system is essential, along with the ability to work independently and engage effectively with colleagues, stakeholders, and members of the public.
