Description
Our client, an award-winning and historic offshore law firm with a global footprint, is seeking an Associate to join their established Litigation team in Jersey. Instructed by international financial institutions, commercial entities, and high-net-worth private clients, this firm handles a wide spectrum of complex contentious matters. You will work directly with experienced partners on cross-border fraud, trust disputes, corporate governance conflicts, and insolvency cases.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver high-quality legal advice and manage contentious caseloads delegated by partners.
• Draft, review, and summarize court documents, legal opinions, and correspondence.
• Conduct legal research and prepare detailed reports for international and multidisciplinary matters.
• Supervise and mentor junior team members, paralegals, and trainees.
• Handle file onboarding, time recording, billing, and strict adherence to AML/CDD procedures.
• Participate in business development events, market seminars, and client relationship management.
Key Requirements
• 2 to 6 years PQE with a UK or Commonwealth qualification.
• Solid litigation background, with prior offshore jurisdiction experience considered a strong advantage.
• Excellent drafting skills, analytical capability, and sharp financial discipline.
• Clear interpersonal communication skills and a client-focused approach.
• Strong workload management skills with the initiative to work independently under appropriate supervision.
