Hours: 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM (Monday to Friday)

We are looking for a reliable and caring Lunch Cover Assistant to join our dedicated team at a SEND school in Sutton. This role involves supporting SEND students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs and challenging behaviour during lunchtime. Flexibility to work with students across various age groups is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and support students during lunch breaks, ensuring a safe and positive environment.
• Assist students with SEMH needs and challenging behaviours, providing appropriate guidance and encouragement.
• Promote social interaction and inclusion among students during lunch and recreational activities.
• Implement behaviour management strategies as needed to maintain a calm and supportive atmosphere.
• Work flexibly with different age groups, adapting to their unique needs.

Requirements:

• Experience working with students with SEMH needs and challenging behaviours
• Patience, resilience, and strong communication skills.
• A commitment to fostering a safe and inclusive environment.
• Flexibility to support students across various age groups.
• Personal care may be required for this role!
