Maintenance Engineer

£35,000 - £36,000 per annum
We are currently looking for an experience Maintenance Engineer based in Andover, Hampshire to ensure adherence to maintenance schedules, minimising equipment downtime, and preserving emergency response capability.
Responsibilities of Maintenance Engineer:
Adhere to planned maintenance schedules and ensure equipment readiness for emergencies.
Conduct fault finding, diagnosis, and investigate equipment damage post-deployment.
Support training activities and facilitate equipment movement for non-emergency tasks.
Respond promptly to emergency call-outs and attend off-site locations during deployments.
Maintain rigorous health and safety standards, including risk assessments and toolbox talks.
Complexity:
Requires logical problem-solving, high personal integrity, and effective leadership during emergencies.
Qualifications/Experience:
Previous experience with plant and diesel engines, combined with on-the-job and manufacturer training.
Minimum NVQ2 or equivalent in mechanical qualification, with on-the-job and manufacturer training.
18th Edition qualification preferred, ability to drive a 16-tonne FLT and possess a C PLUS E license (LGV). Experience with JCB or heavy plant/machinery is desirable.
