Axcis Education is looking for an experienced Medical Needs/Personal Care Teaching Assistants, to provide essential support in Schools across Greater Manchester. This position focuses on pupils who require assistance with personal care and medical support, including toileting, diabetes management, and medication administration.
The Role:
• Supporting pupils with personal care routines, including toileting, hygiene, and dressing, in a dignified and person-centred manner
• Promoting pupil autonomy, dignity, and independence, adapting support based on individual Health Care Plans (HCPs) and EHCPs
• Ensuring all care and interventions are recorded appropriately and safeguarding protocols are always followed
• Working in collaboration with the SENDCO, school nurse and parents/carer in addition to external medical professionals to ensure safe and effective care
