SEMH & Behaviour Support Assistant – Wellesbourne
Location: Wellesbourne
Contract Type: Full-time
Salary: £89 – £105 per day / £445 – £525 per week
Axcis Education is recruiting for a confident and empathetic Behaviour Support Assistant to work in a primary school in Wellesbourne. This role supports children with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, often linked to trauma, anxiety or behavioural challenges.
This is ideal for those with experience in youth work, mentoring, mental health or behavioural support.
The Role:
You will:
• Support pupils 1:1 and in groups to regulate emotions and engage in learning.
• De-escalate behaviour calmly and support emotional resilience.
• Help implement individual behaviour plans and build trusting relationships.
• Work closely with pastoral leads and the SENCO to track progress and next steps.
• Provide structure and consistency to support routine and safety.
About You:
• Background in SEMH support, mentoring or working with vulnerable children.
• Confident managing behaviour positively using de-escalation strategies.
• Emotionally resilient, patient, and approachable.
• Able to form strong professional boundaries and supportive relationships.
