This is for a well-established Fleet Management company, not a main dealer
The role of the Field Service Engineer:
As a Field Service Engineer / Mobile HGV Technician you will be working on behalf of the client at their customers sites, travelling from site to site, working on RCV’s Refuge vehicles, Sweepers, Gritters Bin Lorries, Diesel and EV vehicles. All manner of Heavy goods vehicles (HGV’s) that are part of the fleet.
The type of work you can expect to be carrying out as the Mobile HGV Technician includes (but is not limited to)
• Routine (and preventative) maintenance
• MOT preparation
• Scheduled servicing to DVSA standards
• 6 (or 8) weekly inspections
• Correction of running defects
• Hydraulics and pneumatics
• Electrical and wiring inspections and corrections
Requirements for this mobile HGV Technician position:
• Ideally you will be fully qualified (City & Guilds), NVQ or equivalent.
• A driving licence, preferably clean. Class 1 or Class 2 licence would be desirable
• Additional accreditations such as IRTEC or an EV qualification would be desirable but not essential.
Day shift: Monday to Friday
45 hours per week, 07:00 – 16:30
£18p/h plus overtime.
