New role available for a Freight Operations Manager to work for a busy expanding Freight Forwarder at their Heathrow office.

Looking for someone with at least 5 years experience in multi-modal Freight forwarding including Exports and Imports, Air and Ocean Freight.

This role would also be suitable for an Operations Supervisor looking to progress their career.

Reporting to the Branch manager you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the operation, supervising a team of 4.

Key tasks will include -

Ensure smooth operational performance for all Air/Ocean shipments including developing, maintaining and reviewing SOP'sKPI's
Preparation of transport solutions and freight quotations
Managing and leading the team
Ensuring compliance for customs, AEO and security procedures
Manage vendor relationships and contract negotiations
Supervising customer implementation process
Providing pro-active support to the Sales team
Attend customer visits with the sales team as required.

Salary is c.£40 - £50 K.
