The Role
Operating from their Guernsey office, this full-time position is ideal for an experienced corporate professional ready to steer a dedicated desk. Supporting the Regulated Directors, the successful candidate will oversee and coordinate the yacht-specific operations for various Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs).
Acting as the senior point of contact, they will manage high-value client relationships, troubleshoot complex issues, and line-manage a skilled administration team of three.
Key Responsibilities
• Portfolio Management: Overseeing a diverse portfolio of SPVs holding both private and commercial yachts.
• Team Leadership: Managing the Yacht Ownership desk, prioritizing workloads, conducting performance reviews, and ensuring the team hits agreed SLAs and KPIs.
• Transaction & Compliance Oversight: Leading structural transactions, including yacht sales and purchases, while managing ongoing VAT and customs status compliance.
• Client Onboarding: Partnering with the Head of Department to manage new client onboarding, ensuring robust tax and structural advice is secured via Ultimate Beneficial Owner (UBO) advisors.
• Contractual Review: Reviewing and editing ad-hoc maritime and yacht-related contracts in support of the wider leadership team.
Skills and Experience
• Fiduciary Expertise: Robust corporate and fiduciary knowledge drawn from a solid Trust or Corporate Administration background.
• Regulatory Acumen: A strong understanding of compliance, statutory regulations, and internal policy rollouts.
• Commercial Awareness: Fully capable of understanding fee structures, service value, and broader business impacts.
• Leadership Capabilities: An organized, self-motivated professional with a proven track record of effective delegation and team mentorship.
• Industry Knowledge: Prior experience or knowledge of the yachting sector is highly desirable, though not strictly essential if strong corporate acumen is evident.
• Mobility: A willingness to travel internationally on occasion to meet clients, family offices, and intermediaries, or to visit global offices.
