This role is open for candidates who are either based in Guernsey or Jersey.
They are currently seeking a dedicated professional for a newly created, permanent position to support their Senior Group Company Secretary. Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to ensure adherence to regulatory and statutory frameworks:
• Governance & Compliance: Maintain and provide Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and corporate structure charts; oversee statutory registers and filings for Guernsey group companies.
• Board & Committee Support: Manage the corporate calendar; coordinate logistics for Board and Committee meetings, including drafting agendas, compiling board packs, and taking precise minutes and action points.
• Corporate Reporting: Take responsibility for statutory submissions and maintain all corporate records (registers of directors, shareholders, and resolutions).
• Special Projects: Support the business on corporate transactions—such as mergers, acquisitions, and restructurings—ensuring strict alignment with legal and governance standards.
Key Competencies & Skills
To thrive in this fast-paced, evolving regulatory environment, candidates should possess the following attributes:
• Qualifications: A relevant professional qualification, such as ICSA/Chartered Governance Professional (CGP), or currently working towards equivalent certification.
• Experience: Previous experience within a relevant corporate secretarial or governance role inside the Financial Services sector.
• Knowledge: Solid understanding of corporate governance frameworks, Guernsey Company Law, and the regulatory landscape for licensed administrative services. (Knowledge of other jurisdictions is highly advantageous) .
• Skills: High-level IT proficiency (MS Office and board paper compilation software), exceptional time management, and immaculate written and verbal communication skills.
