People Advisor (12-Month FTC – Maternity Cover)
Location: Watford (5 days on-site)
Salary: £37,000 + Benefits
Start date: November 2025
Currently in an FTC and looking for your next one? In a permanent role and keen to diversify your experience in a new industry / culture? Resourcing4HR are delighted to be partnering with this SME business (60 employee base) in looking for an experienced People Advisor to join the team on a 12-month fixed-term contract covering maternity leave to start in November 2025. Based in Watford, this role is fully on-site and offers a fantastic opportunity to be hands-on in all aspects of HR within a supportive and fast-paced environment.
What you’ll be doing:
Managing end-to-end recruitment processes
Responding to HR queries promptly and effectively
Monitoring absence records, spotting trends and raising concerns where needed
Coordinating staff changes, leavers administration, and conducting exit interviews
Overseeing employee benefits including pensions, health insurance, and bonuses
Supporting the onboarding process and ensuring new starters are equipped for success
Managing the company fleet – from ordering vehicles to licence checks and inspections
Coordinating staff reviews, probation reviews, and 1:1s
Conducting HR 1:1s with new joiners to ensure a fair and consistent onboarding experience
Processing monthly payroll and managing end-of-year P11Ds
Producing HR data reports and identifying areas for improvement
Keeping HR policies and the employee manual up to date with legislation
Supporting various HR projects as needed
What we’re looking for:
Proven experience in a HR Officer or People Advisor role
CIPD Level 3 qualified (minimum)
Strong data entry and attention to detail
Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
Solid understanding of GDPR and HR best practices
