Are you a patient, proactive and creative individual looking to make a real difference in children’s education? We are seeking a dedicated Primary Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a specialist Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) setting in the Urmston area.

About the Role
You will be supporting both the class teacher and individual students across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with ASD, ADHD, and other Special Educational Needs (SEN). The school prides itself on offering a nurturing, structured and inclusive environment that encourages every child to thrive—academically, socially and emotionally.

Main Duties
-Support the teacher with planning, preparation and classroom management.

-Provide 1:1 and small group interventions tailored to students’ needs.

-Help pupils engage with learning activities, manage behaviour positively and develop social skills.

-Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies.

-Encourage independence and celebrate progress in every child.

-Work closely with teachers, SENCO and other support staff to ensure consistency and progress.

What We’re Looking For
-Experience supporting children with SEN (particularly ASD and ADHD) in a school or PRU setting.

-A calm, patient and resilient approach.

-A proactive attitude and the ability to use initiative.

-Creative thinking to engage and motivate learners.

-Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for helping children succeed.

What’s on Offer
-Competitive daily rate up to £104 (depending on experience).

-Full-time, ongoing position with immediate start.

-Supportive and welcoming team environment.

-Access to CPD training and development courses once registered.

If you’re ready to bring energy, empathy and creativity to a rewarding role, we’d love to hear from you.
