We are recruiting Support Assistants to join a well-established, inclusive primary school with a strong focus on supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This large school, with three classes per year group, has regular opportunities for individuals who are passionate about working with children, particularly those with autism and challenging behavioural needs.

If you have the experience and passion for working with SEND students, particularly those with Autism and behavioural challenges, we’d love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide support to students with Autism and behavioural needs, primarily within Key Stage 2 and Early Years settings.
• Adapt your approach to meet the diverse needs of students, helping them access classroom activities and build essential skills.
• Work closely with teachers, SENDCo and other staff to create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
• Support students in developing social skills, independence and resilience, while developing their emotional and academic progress.
• Handle challenging behaviour in a calm, consistent and positive manner, promoting a structured environment for learning.
Requirements:
• Previous experience working in a school setting is essential.
• Experience working with children with SEND, particularly Autism and behavioural challenges, is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
