Description

Axcis Education is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming primary school in Yate seeking a dedicated Primary Intervention Teacher to work with a small group of pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who enjoys delivering personalised learning, building strong relationships and helping children develop the confidence and skills they need to succeed.

The Role

You will work with a small group of primary-aged pupils who require additional support to access the curriculum. Teaching will be tailored to individual learning needs, with a strong focus on building confidence, engagement and progress through creative and differentiated approaches.

Working closely with the school's SENCO and wider support team, you'll help create an inclusive environment where every child feels valued and able to achieve their personal best.

Responsibilities include:

Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons for a small group of pupils with SEN.
Adapting learning to meet a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, and moderate learning difficulties.
Monitoring progress and adapting interventions to support individual outcomes.
Creating a calm, structured and nurturing learning environment.
Working collaboratively with teaching assistants, the SENCO and external professionals.
Supporting pupils' social, emotional and communication development alongside their academic progress.
What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who:

Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Has experience teaching within a UK primary school.
Has a genuine passion for inclusive education and supporting children with additional needs.
Can adapt teaching to meet a wide range of learning styles and abilities.
Builds positive, trusting relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
Is patient, creative and committed to helping every child succeed.

Experience working with SEND is highly desirable, although teachers with a strong interest in specialist education are also encouraged to apply.

Why Join Axcis Education?
Competitive daily pay rates.
Weekly pay.
A dedicated consultant offering personalised support.
Opportunities for long-term and permanent roles.
Access to free CPD and SEND-focused training.
The chance to make a meaningful impact in a rewarding specialist teaching role.

This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references. Axcis Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment.

If you're looking for an opportunity to teach in a nurturing environment where you can make a genuine difference to a small group of learners, we'd love to hear from you.
