Axcis Education are working closely with a primary school based in the Burnley area, who are seeking teaching assistants for the new academic year.
Axcis work closely with this mainstream primary school who are Ofsted rated "good" and are based centrally, in the Burnley area. We are seeking teaching assistants to join their growing team for the new academic year due to an influx of students joining the school who have additional needs and/or challenging behaviours. The school hours are 830am - 330pm and the school are looking for full time members of staff.
The role will start in September but the school would likely invite you in, during June or July for a meeting with the SENCO and headteacher, ahead of the role starting. The role is full time and school hours are 8.30am - 3.30pm. The role will require you to work predominantly with KS1 students who have some learning difficulties and/or autism. On occasion, you may be expected to cover sickness in KS2.
The candidate ideal for this role will have some education experience and ideally, have SEND experience. The candidate suited to this role will be confident, compassionate and have strong behaviour management skills. The candidate must be available full time and the school is accessible via public transport as well as having a large on site car park.
Pay for this role will start at £89 per day PAYE and the role is long term, due to continue for the full academic year with the potential to become a permanent position.
