Axcis Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 3 pupil with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
Provide tailored 1:1 support to a Year 3 pupil with ASC, adapting strategies to meet their individual needs.
Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons, ensuring the pupil can access the curriculum effectively.
Implement and monitor individual education plans (IEPs), working closely with the SENCO and external professionals.
Support the pupil in developing social skills, emotional regulation, and independence within the classroom setting.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting the school's values and ethos.
Engage in regular communication with parents and carers to provide updates on the pupil's progress and well-being.
What We’re Looking For
Experience working with children with ASC or other special educational needs is highly desirable.
A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting learning and behaviour.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
A commitment to promoting inclusion and equal opportunities within the school setting.
Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant) are advantageous but not essential.
