Groundwork's Project Manager / Site Manager required for a school development in Ilkley!

Works will include:  Deep and shallow drainage, foundations, earthworks and balancing ponds, all hard standings, soft landscaping and related civil's infrastructure. All works on a school project with multiple levels over a  2 year period.

Duties:
Traditional Project Management role
Full life cycle project delivery of groundwork's package
Programming when required
Client relationship management
SHEQ oversight
Working with site QS for successful delivery of margins

Long term role with good pay rates
Applicants can be CIS, Ltd Company status or PAYE
Plenty of other work after this project

Salary  - up to £90k + package
Day Rate - up to £400 per day

Kenton Black Finance are currently recruiting for a part-time Sales Ledger Clerk (20 hours per week) on behalf of a business that is based in the Preston area. This company employs about 400 staff, has a turnover of circa 17 million pounds, and has been operating for over 25 years. You will be responsible for inputting and processing all payments received from customers and provide support and assistance to the Sales Ledger Manager. Your new role as the Part-time Sales Ledger Clerk:

- Process all payments received, in priority order, on a daily basis at the direction of management.
- Input all payments efficiently and accurately into record keeping system.
- Sort cheques prior to keying, separate post-dated and foreign currency cheques and take appropriate action, ensuring all accounts are updated accordingly. Complete relevant banking documentation.
- Review post-dated cheque files daily. Identify and remove due cheques and sort accordingly (e.g., by client, market, product, programme).
- Responsible for proper handling of all daily reports for payments and adjustments.
- Responsible for proper handling of banking transactions to include: submitting cheques for deposit into the bank, collecting correspondence from the bank, distributing relevant information to managers.
- Assist with reconciliation of client bank accounts and processing card payments.
- Handle all returned cheques in-line with company procedures.
- Responsible for proper handling of all outgoing mail items.
- Assist with the maintenance of company financial information in appropriate systems.
- When requested, provide administrative support for department and Manager, including but not limited to performing data entry, filing documents, updating various record keeping systems, upholding company policies and client requirements, and participating in projects, duties, and other administrative tasks.
- Process refunds to customers or external parties according to SLAs.
- Complete investigation of unallocated balances and reduce those balances by allocating payments or processing refunds.
- Deal with queries from external parties such as Debt Management Collections Agencies (DMCs).
- Knowledge, understanding, and compliance with all applicable legislation and local laws and regulations relating to job duties.
- Provide feedback to management concerning possible problems or areas of improvement.
- Make recommendations to implement improved processes.

Experience & Skills required to apply:

- Possess at least 5 GCSE, including Maths and English
- 1 year previous administrative experience required.
- 6 months data input experience required.
- Previous experience providing customer service over the telephone preferred.
- Excellent keyboarding skills required.
- Ability to demonstrate high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.

Your New Role as Management Accountant:

As Management Accountant, you will enjoy a diverse role receiving ongoing support. Specific responsibilities will include:

•	Producing monthly management accounts
•	Provision of quarterly and year-end accounts for Trustees
•	Monthly bank reconciliation
•	Prepare annual statutory accounts, working closely with external accountants
•	Regular liaison with staff and volunteers to deliver meaningful financial insight

•	Collating payroll information for processing (payroll is outsourced)


Experience & Qualifications Required to Apply:

The successful candidate will be proven in a similar level finance role with the ability to work collaboratively and under own supervision. Knowledge of Sage 50 or Xero is desirable and you must be adept in MS packages including Excel. Strong communication skills are required as you will be required to engage with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. Experience of working in a Not-for-Profit organisation is advantageous but not essential.

We are currently working with a privately owned top civil engineering contractor, based in Worcestershire that turn over £70m who are looking for a Project Manager. This role is to work on major civil infrastructure scheme in the beautiful Cotswolds. Following this they have a very strong orderbook for the South Midlands.

The company specialise in delivering civil engineering projects and frameworks including infrastructure, highways, public realm etc for a range of private clients and local authorities.

They are actually, currently recruiting two project managers for this region however to work on works within this region with the remit of aiding the growth of the region as well as working on live projects, undertaking works that range in value from £5m – £20m.

I am currently looking for an experienced Freelance Site Engineer for one of my longest standing clients that are a well-established sub-contractor.   The role is on a new build school project in Overstone, just outside Northampton.

THE ROLE: 

You'll be responsible for setting out pre-cast concrete installations, including cores, stairs, and walls, as well as providing engineering support for minimal groundworks. The role requires a strong attention to detail and proven experience in working with pre-cast elements.

•	Maintaining site records, QA checks, and as-builts
•	Supporting and coordinating subcontractors

Your new role as Finance Manager:

Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation of month-end management accounts, financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections.
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
• Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends and variances.
• Collaborate with senior management to develop long-term financial strategies.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
• Supervise the finance team, providing training and support as needed.

Experience & Qualifications Required to apply:

The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing the day to day finances of a family run business. Operating on Sage, you will have proven experience as a Finance Manager in a similar stand-alone role. With strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices you will have excellent analytical skills with a solid attention to detail. With the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines this is a hands-on role and will require management of the ledgers as well as producing month end management accounts. 

Formally qualified CIMA, ACA or ACCA  (QBE is also considered) you will have solid experience working within a small group of companies in a family run environment.
