Axcis Education are excited to be working with a secondary SEMH provision in Torbay, who are looking for a passionate PSHE & Geography Instructor /HLTA to join their dedicated team starting as soon as possible. This would predominantly be delivering PSHE and Geography lessons. This is would be a long term supply teaching/instructing position, with the possibility of a permanent position, depending on circumstances.
Role: Vocational Instructor/HLTA
Start Date: May 2025
Location: Torbay
Working Days: Monday to Fridays (5 days a week)
Salary: £135-220 per day, depending on qualifications and experience.
In this rewarding role, you will be responsible for delivering PSHE and Geography sessions. This is a great opportunity for those who are passionate about teaching and learning and want to make a difference in the lives of students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Some students may have experienced trauma, and your support will be key to helping them succeed in the classroom and beyond.
What We Are Looking For:
-A Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) qualification or relevant teaching experience and qualifications.
-Experience supporting food technology lessons in a SEND or alternative provision setting is highly desirable.
-Passionate about supporting students with SEMH needs and trauma backgrounds.
-Flexible, empathetic, and dedicated to helping young people overcome challenges.
