Description

Our client is a leading global provider of insurance and wealth management solutions with a reputation for excellence in the international financial services sector. They are currently seeking a high-caliber professional to join their team for a defined Fixed-Term contract, running from June 2026 through the end of April 2027.

This role offers the chance to work within a prestigious global life insurance environment, contributing to the strategic goals of a sophisticated actuarial function while maintaining the highest professional standards.

The Role
Reporting directly to the Deputy Head of Actuarial, this position is critical for meeting company reporting requirements and ensuring the delivery of accurate financial results for the group. The successful candidate will manage the production of actuarial valuations and provide key recommendations to drive business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:
• Financial Reporting: Support the production of company financial results for Group, internal, and regulatory purposes, including the completion and review of complex calculations.
• Valuation Coordination: Coordinate and review actuarial valuation results, specifically focusing on Solvency II and IFRS, as well as results for Singapore and Swiss branches.
• Stakeholder Management: Effectively manage two direct line reports and liaise with internal stakeholders and external actuaries to ensure efficient delivery.
• Model Oversight: Assist in the review and maintenance of actuarial models, identifying shortcomings and supporting the preparation of economic value and surplus analysis.
• Professional Standards: Act as a role model for quality control, reviewing work produced by colleagues and ensuring compliance with regulatory and professional standards.

The Candidate
They are looking for a Qualified Actuary who pairs deep technical expertise with the ability to communicate complex issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Required Qualifications & Experience:
• Professional Status: Must be a Qualified Actuary (FIA, FFA, or equivalent).
• Industry Expertise: Established experience within the life insurance sector is essential.
• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in actuarial modelling, Excel, and Word.
• Analytical Rigor: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify critical issues and work systematically with high accuracy.
• Leadership: Experience in managing, coaching, and encouraging colleagues to meet business requirements.
• Communication: Proven track record in writing and presenting technical reports and influencing others at all levels of an organization.
