Secondary Science Teacher
Location: Preston (PR1)
Contract: Full-time - 8:30am-3:30 pm - Monday to Friday (earlier finish on a Friday – 1:30pm)
Salary: Paid against main pay scale
Start date: As soon as possible
Here at Axcis Education, we are recruiting for a full-time science teacher to work students aged 11-16 at a school in mainstream faith school in Preston (PR1). Pay rates will be in line with main pay scale rates. Transport links are offered from Preston city centre and surrounding areas, and free parking is available next to the school. The school is rated “Outstanding” by Ofsted. The staff are very friendly and supportive within the school.
You will be required to confidently deliver GCSE science to ages between 11 and 16. The role will start as soon as possible and is expected to last up to 2 years if it is the right fit, as you will be covering a long-term absence. Candidates applying for this role must be available to work 8:30am – 3.30pm, Monday – Friday, with an earlier finish at 1:30pm on Fridays.
The ideal candidate must have:
• Qualified Teacher Status
• An Enhanced DBS check on the update service (if you do not have this, we can guide you through the process)
• Brilliant communication skills, empathy and patience
• A genuine desire to make a difference to young people’s lives
