Axcis Education is collaborating with a fantastic mainstream secondary school in Chingford (E4), committed to supporting students with autism and complex needs. The school is seeking a compassionate and proactive full-time Learning Support Assistant to join their team.

Hours: 8:30 am to 3:30 pm
Start Date: After the half term break
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to students with autism and complex needs, helping them engage with the curriculum and develop essential life skills.
Assist class teachers with lesson delivery and adapt resources to meet individual student needs.
Support in managing challenging behaviours using de-escalation techniques and positive behaviour support strategies.
Essential Requirements:
Experience working with children or young people with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) or complex learning needs.
Good understanding of autism, sensory processing, and communication strategies such as PECS, Makaton, or visual supports.
Patience, empathy, and resilience when supporting students with challenging behaviours.
