This well-established specialist provision in Milton Keynes operates across three unique sites, each tailored to meet the needs of different age groups and learning profiles:
Lower School Site: Supports younger pupils (typically primary age) with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), communication needs, and early developmental challenges. Focus on foundational learning, communication, and social interaction.
Middle School Site: Caters to secondary-aged students with a range of needs including ASD, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Emphasis on academic progress, independence, and emotional regulation.
Upper/Post-16 Site: Designed for older students preparing for adulthood, focusing on life skills, employability, and functional independence. Students may have complex needs including ASD and additional learning difficulties.

Your Role as an SEN Learning Support Assistant
As an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students to thrive both academically and personally. Your responsibilities will include:
Providing 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual learning needs
Assisting teachers in delivering engaging, differentiated lessons
Supporting students with ASD, SEMH, MLD, and communication difficulties
Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies
Encouraging independence, confidence, and social development
Supporting with personal care where required
Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and SENCOs to implement EHCP targets

Suitable Qualifications (Desirable but Not Essential)
Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
Health & Social Care qualification
Psychology or Education-related degree
Team Teach or behaviour management training
Any SEN-specific training (e.g. ASD awareness, Makaton, PECS)
