Description
Axcis Education is working in partnership with a special school in Dawlish to recruit a passionate and proactive SEN primary teaching Assistant to support a Year 2 class from September. The role is full-time working Monday to Friday from 8:45 - 3:45. We pay a daily rate of £92 - £95.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly supportive and well-staffed team at a specialist setting that caters for pupils with Autism, complex needs, including communication difficulties and non-verbal profiles.
About the Role
Start Date: September
Setting: Year 2 class with 8 pupils, most of whom are pre-verbal or non-verbal
Support Team: 1 Teacher and 3 established TAs already in class
Focus: This position is specifically to support a new pupil joining the class
The classroom can be lively and noisy, so the ideal candidate will be someone who is confident, calm under pressure, and happy to take an active role from day one.
The Ideal Candidate Will Be:
Proactive and hands-on within the classroom
Comfortable working in a busy and noisy environment
Experienced or keen to support pupils with complex communication needs
A strong team player who can build positive relationships with both staff and pupils
Committed to providing high-quality, inclusive education for children with SEND
What Axcis Offers:
Competitive weekly pay
Personalised support from a dedicated consultant
Opportunities for ongoing CPD and training
Access to a network of specialist SEND roles across the region
If you're enthusiastic about supporting pupils with additional needs and ready to hit the ground running in a rewarding, full-time role – Axcis would love to hear from you.
