Description
SEN Teaching Assistant in Lutterworth and surrounding areas – Let’s Answer a Few Questions
What’s this role all about?
Supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in schools and specialist settings. You’ll be helping children and young people feel safe, understood, and able to access learning — sometimes 1:1, sometimes in small groups.
Who will I be supporting?
Pupils with a range of additional needs, including:
.Autism (ASD)
.ADHD
.SEMH
.Learning difficulties
.Speech & Language needs
.Complex or challenging behaviours
Support takes place across mainstream schools, special schools, and alternative provisions.
Why are these roles available?
Schools are asking for consistent, reliable, and empathetic support staff who truly understand SEN — not just education in general. They want adults who can build trust and provide stability.
This could suit you if you:
.Have a minimum of 6 months experience in SEN, care, youth work, or education
.Are calm, patient, and emotionally intuitive
.Enjoy building positive relationships
.Want a role where progress looks different for every child
.Qualifications are helpful, but your attitude and approach matter most.
Axcis Education is a SEND-specialist education recruitment agency that works closely with schools to provide staff who genuinely fit their settings. We focus on long-term relationships, not quick fixes.
What do I get in return?:
.Competitive daily pay (£89 - £110), depending on experience
.Full-time and part-time options
.Long-term and consistent placements
.Ongoing support from SEN-focused consultants
.Opportunities to work in settings that value wellbeing
All roles are subject to enhanced DBS checks and safeguarding procedures.
